Cascais (pronounced more or less like: kash-kyshe) is a small coastal town near the Portuguese capital city Lisbon. It is one of the most affluent municipalities in Portugal. If you work in Lisbon, I suppose Cascais must be a fantastic place to live. There are several beaches and a picturesque harbour.
Sintra is a small town near the Portuguese capital Lisbon. If you’re visiting Lisbon, Sintra is a perfect destination for a day trip. This beautiful town has many historic monuments and was enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This photo shows the Pena National Palace, which to me is the absolute highlight of Sintra.
The Portuguese capital city Lisbon has many hills, which means there are many great, publicly accessible vantage points. This photo was taken from my favourite spot in Alfama – Lisbon’s oldest district. In the distance you can see the 25 de Abril Bridge spanning the Tejo river and connecting Lisbon to Almada.
