Panorama of Lisbon as Seen from Alfama at Sunset, Portugal
The Portuguese capital city Lisbon has many hills, which means there are many great, publicly accessible vantage points. This photo was taken from my favourite spot in Alfama – Lisbon’s oldest district. In the distance you can see the 25 de Abril Bridge spanning the Tejo river and connecting Lisbon to Almada. It really resembles the famous Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco – it is also a suspension bridge and it is also painted in red. And just as in the case of the Golden Gate Bridge, the location of the 25 de Abril Bridge is very picturesque.
