The Eiffel Tower in Paris at Dawn, France

The Eiffel Tower in Paris at Dawn, France

The Eiffel Tower in Paris is one of the world’s most popular landmarks and the view from the Trocadéro never bores me. This is another photo taken from there, this time in vertical orientation. The full official French name of this square is Place du Trocadéro et du 11 Novembre, in honour of the Battle of Trocadero in 1823 and the Armistice of 11 November 1918 ending the First World War.

What I like about the Trocadéro is that you get an unobstructed view of the Eiffel Tower and that the square can be a great foreground element, so a photographer can come up with many interesting compositions. I also like the distant skyline in the background. This place is very crowded during the day, so the only chance to have photos without random people in them is to get up very early, long before dawn, take your equipment and head to the Trocadéro. If the weather plays along, you will see a beautiful Parisian sunrise.
